Did I hear someone say Homemade Healthy Milo?!!!.. Oh yes please!!! This was originally Changing Habits recipe. I played around with the ingredients abit and it turned out delicious and in my opinion tastes way better than commercial (sugar) Milo. My kids love it! we had it sprinkled over some vanilla ice cream last night!! Perfect mix to have on hand to add to cupcakes, biscuit and slice batters too.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons/ 50gms linseeds2 tablespoons/30gms sesame seeds
1 cup/140gms of dark chocolate
2 tablespoons/ 30 gms sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons/ 30gms pepitas
1/3 cup/50gms almonds
1/4 cup/ 30gms/or10 hazel nuts
1/4/30gms cashews
1/4 cup/30gms pecan nuts
3/4 cup/150gm coconut sugar
Method:
Place linseeds and sesame seeds into Thermomix and grind for 20 seconds on speed 9Place the rest of the ingredients in Thermomix except for the coconut sugar and blend for 7 seconds on speed 9 - do not over blend.
Add coconut sugar and mix for 7 seconds on speed 5.
Keep in the fridge
*Remember- If you don't have a Thermomix this recipe can be adjusted to be made in a good food processor or blender in batches
